Pangan: Requisite Local Development Council meeting

AS PROVIDED by the local government code, Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo met with the city village chairmen on May 22 at the City Hall, Xevera.

Before them, he announced the grant of P1.5 million per barangay as funds for projects, including environmental enhancement. He urged them to use the funds frugally, properly documented and backed up by solid purpose for their constituents' benefit.

He also asked the village chairmen to seasonably submit projects for inclusion in the City government's annual investment and development plan, which, the way, is also required by law.

Mayor Garbo also discussed the various plans of the city for the next three years which were welcomed by the barangay chairmen. He said these tangible projects will further endear them to their constituents as was evidenced by the resounding victory of the mayor and his team at the polls.

The various plans of the village chairmen shall be submitted to the CPDC, headed by Rosan S. Paquia, ESQ, and concurrent City Administrator who will vet the said projects and recommend them for inclusion in the city's annual investment and development plan.

Pogi and friends. Give it to Lino Sanchez, Jr., veteran photojournalist,

for coming up with novel but feasible ideas.

He has concocted the creation of Pogi and friends, a non-profit organization to enhance Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin's projects for senior citizens and PWDs such as health assistance and other benefits similar to those implemented by Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo.

The group intends to institutionalize these programs in the Angeles City government.
