I HAVE seen the budget of Cebu and have noticed that they had no budget for two items: agriculture and education.
Aren’t they important in this country?
With all the wasted unfinished projects in Cebu, we are not addressing the two most important items: education of our future leaders and our food source for sustainable soil and water resource for our food.
We, as a nation, have no long-term plans for the Philippines, but only try to copy other Asian countries.
We only have the habit of trying to do something after the fact.
We have no protection of prime agricultural lands. We have used it all for subdivisions and we have nowhere to produce our food.
Once destroyed, there will be no turning back. When you save our agricultural land, you will also save our water resource. We depend on ground water for our supply.
Food and education play the biggest part of our country. Proper food produces brilliant minds and, in turn, better leaders.
