A SUSPECTED big-time drug personality was arrested while some P50,000 illegal drugs were seized in a drug bust in Zamboanga City on Sunday, May 26.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said Adzhar Amin, 39, a college undergraduate and jobless was arrested around 3:10 p.m. Sunday in a subdivision in the village of Putik.
Galvez said Amin was caught in possession of some P50,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in eight large size and one small size heat-sealed plastic sachets and P500 marked money.
She said a case for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is set to be filed against the suspect. He is now detained. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
