Bangsamoro gets new police chief

ANTI-CYBER Crime Group Director Marni Marcos Jr. was appointed as the new acting Philippine National Police (PNP) regional director for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

His reassignment is part of the reshuffling being conducted among the key positions due to the retirement of some officers and other reasons.

Marcos will be exchanging positions with BARMM Regional Director Graciano Mijares.

Another officer designated to a new position is Brigadier General Froilan Flores Quidilla, former deputy director for administration of Mimaropa who was assigned as the acting director of the Zamboanga Police Regional Office.

He will replace Brigadier General Emmanuel Licup who was assigned as the acting deputy director of the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management

Quidilla will be replaced by Colonel Nelson Bermudez Bondoc, who was formerly assigned at the PNP-Engineering Service.

“I have approved the recommendation of the Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board and Oversight Committee to implement another round of reorganization of senior officers occupying key positions in the Directorial and Special Staff, National Support Units, and Police Regional Offices,” PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde said.

“The latest reorganization is prompted by the series of retirement of senior PNP officials this year, the two year maximum tenure in positions and the Performance Evaluation Rating that created vacancies need to be filled to ensure continuity of command,” he added. (SunStar Philippines)
