ANG Dabawenyo singer-songwriter, Maric Gavino mipaguwa niadtong Mayo 18 sa iyang second single Kapoy, nga naghulagway sa kahago sa lalis tali magkarelasyon.
Ang second single napaguwa human sab ang kapin tuig sukad niya gi-release iyang debut song (Ampalaya).
“My songs are usually not from my experiences, all are actually from my friends and the people around me. Funny thing is, I can relate to my own song after months of writing it,” ni Gavino.
Dugang niya nga nagsuwat siya og kanta una siya mitambong sa Mindanaoan singers/songwriters.
Niya, ang kanta nagsilbing reminder nga di okay nga mobati'g kakapoy sa usa ka relasyon.
“Love is not always ‘hayahay’ or good times, what makes love more exciting are the challenges and how you overcome it thereby strengthening your relationship. Usahay, kapoy musabot ug muhigugma, pero mas kapoy kung wa nay kamo,” dugang niya.
Pila ka adlaw human napaguwa ang kanta, nakuha niini ang 10th spot sa weekly chart sa JAM 88.3, usa ka alternative music authority sa Philippines.
“I am so thankful for the 101% support from my family for my passion in music. I am so blessed to have them and I hope other parents out there will also support their children, but also remind them to finish their studies.”
Apan si Gavino may dakong hagit sa gobyerno kung hisgutan ang music and performing arts.
“I am hoping that as our music scene here is starting to bloom, our government will also support us further. Also, I hope that this growth will tap other songwriters that have the talent to start showcasing their crafts, enhance their skills, and create amazing music,” pahayag sa batan-ong songwriter.
