THE Southwestern University (SWU-Phinma) Cobras and the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars will clash in the opening day of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Partners Cup basketball tournament on June 8, 2019 at the University of San Carlos (USC) main gym.
Last year’s Cesafi runner-up USJ-R will test its new core against the SWU-Phinma in the collegiate division.
The University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USP-F) Panthers, meanwhile, will take on the USC Warriors in the other collegiate game.
In the high school division, the University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu Mandaue (UCLM) Junior Webmasters will debut against the USJ-R Baby Jaguars in the first game.
The University of Visayas (UV) Baby Green Lancers will face the USC Baby Warriors .
The college division will follow a double round-robin format for the elimination round, while the high school division will have a single round-robin format.
The Cesafi Partners Cup serves as a pre-season tournament for the Cesafi teams. (JJL)
