Itogon’s most wanted nabbed

A MINER from Itogon, Benguet considered as the town’s top most wanted person was arrested.

Benguet Provincial Police Office (PPO) director Police Colonel Lyndon Mencio said at 10 a.m. of May 29, operatives of Itogon Municipal Police Station (MPS) were able to arrest Jackson Ka-oy Balinsia, 38, native of Mallango, Tinglayan in Kalinga and a resident of Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Balinsia was arrested for the crime of illegal possession of explosive based on a warrant issued by Judge Marybelle Demot Marinas of Regional Trial Court Branch 8, 1st Judicial Region with a recommended P180,000 bail bond.

The suspect was brought to the Itogon MPS for documentation and was turned over to the court.

On the same day, another wanted person was also arrested in the municipality of Bakun.

Mencio added at 5:10 p.m. of May 29, Benguet PPO personnel and Bakun MPS arrested Juanito Guidao-en Bactao,55, married by virtue of warrant for violation of Republic Act 9262 known as violence against women and their children act of 2004 with P72,000 bail bond.
