BACOLOD City Councilor Ayesha Joy Villaflor, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation president, said Thursday, May 30, 2019, that she respects the decision of Barangay 30 SK Chairman Kerwin Dejole for resigning from his post.
“I’m very sad when I heard that he resigned from his post because he’s an active youth leader, but we also respect his decision for his own good,” Ayesha said.
She said that Dejole is also active in SK Federation activities as well as in the city’s activities.
Dejole had earlier submitted his resignation letter to the Department of The Interior and Local Government (DILG) that he will be resigning from his post effectively May 17 due to a new job opportunity that awaits him.
“I am very grateful with all the learning I gained from this field of work. I am honored that I had the chance to serve our community here in Barangay 30 and I will always be proud to be part of this field,” Dejole said.
Dejole’s post was occupied by its number one SK Kagawad Lyka Dela Pena.
Villaflor said that Dela Pena is also an active youth leader and she is hopeful that she will do her job as a youth leader in Barangay 30.
Maria Joy Maredith Madayag, director of DILG-Bacolod, earlier said the SK officials of Barangay 30 should also pass a resolution to complete the lists of seven SK kagawads to occupy the post of Dela Pena. (MAP)
