A MAN died while three others were injured in shooting and stabbing incidents in Purok Tapulanga, Barangay 9, Bacolod City, Thursday morning, May 30, 2019.
Police identified the fatality as Villardo Basingol, 36. Injured were Alfred Fermin Sr. 63, his son Alfred, and Lorenzo Dioso, all residents of Barangay 9.
Police Major Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said Basingol died on the spot after he was shot by Dioso about 12:15 a.m.
Investigation showed that before the incident, a heated argument ensued between Basingol and Dioso. Fermin and his son also tried to pacify them, but they were also shot and stabbed. Dioso was also wounded.
Police recovered from scene of the crime one homemade gauge shotgun, and bladed weapon.
Dioso, Fermin and his son were brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital and they are now in stable condition.
Police Station 2 is still conducting further investigation to determine the motive in the killing of the victim. (MAP)
