ABOUT 18 executive assistants of Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia are expected to submit their courtesy resignation as their term of office ends on June 30.
Executive Assistant Moises De la Cruz said the term of the mayor will end on June 30, so it is automatic that the co-terminus employees under the City Mayor's Office will submit their courtesy resignation.
"We will submit our courtesy resignation to give way to the mayor to choose his executive assistants for the next three years," he said.
He added that their courtesy resignation will be submitted to the City Mayor's Office.
Leonardia's first term will end on June 30. His second term, though, will start at noon of June 30, as he was re-elected as mayor on May 13 elections.
De la Cruz said they are not also sure if their appointment will be renewed by the mayor.
"It's up to the mayor if he will renew us or not," he said.
