THIS June 8, in celebration of the Philippine Independence Day and the LGBT community pride celebration month, Pride, a Filipino Fashion Extravaganza will be held at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria Hotel, Ortigas. The multi-talented fashion designer and entrepreneur Don Cristobal in partnership with Love Yourself Inc., Clever Box Events, Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria and Scene Zone Magazine will indeed be a colossal event.
Pride will highlight the creative forces and visionaries of Philippine fashion as well as Filipino achievers and exemplary individuals for the benefit of the A-list celebrities supported LoveYourself, Inc., the leading NGO for HIV awareness. Pride is under the renowned director Jed Velasco and will be hosted by Angelee Delos Reyes, Ms. Earth Philippines 2013.
Don Cristobal will showcase his Dalagang Pilipina: A Millennial Pinay collection inspired by the classic Filipiniana with a modern twist incorporating upholstery materials and unconventional fabrics. Models will be carrying his Love Bayongs, a collection of his famed DC Bayongs that is being promoted by Love Yourself Inc. as part of the event’s fundraising program. Likewise, DC Ambassadors and role models will do the runway walks in a thematic collection to symbolize the journey of Hope to HIV individuals for the Love Yourself Inc.’s segment.
Don Cristobal is joined by the ff. Roberth Gallardo, “Cosmopolite”, the empowered modern Pinays; Karu Villanueva, seductive and glamorous “Fiery Red Roses” ensembles; Miguel David “Lucena”, prêt-à-porter three piece creations for his Migo line; Red Zurbano, “Novus Byzantium” inspiration from the luxurious art of the Byzantine era; and Lau Fernandez and Adrian Stephen Cabuhat, quirky, mythical inspired pet fashion of the Shopawhowlique brand.
