ANOTHER Negrense debonair, legal, tax and business expert lawyer Jesus Clint O. Aranas, president and general manager (PGM) of Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has successfully brought GSIS to greatness.
The agency under his tutelage has currently reached more than P1 trillion (USD 19-B) in total assets.
GSIS held its 82nd anniversary in an Asian-inspired celebration at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City on May 31, 2019.
PGM Aranas was beyond words when he addressed the officers and employees of GSIS during the grand celebration.
In his quite sentimental message, he said, “With all earnestness from my heart, I am very proud of you. Ang galing natin because magaling kayo (We're really good because you are all good) and I am really proud of you. I am just beyond words. I can only bring you to a certain point and you guys delivered. I challenged you and you delivered. Whatever happened for the 2018 only speaks for itself. The awards and the rewards made us all proud of our agency because you made it happened.”
He added, “The sense of fulfillment does not come from me but comes from you. Individually, I feel the love. There is a time for sowing and reaping, there is a time for hard work and reaching excellence in hard work and there is a time to honor you guys. And tonight is your night. I just like to honor you really. I love you guys. I hope you understand that. That is why we do our best to work with honesty and integrity because we want to make our country proud. Thank you very much. I keep on repeating it because I see the effort as you respond to the challenge that I always pushed to you and you responded to the level of work that I required and expected from you and amazingly, you have exceed those expectations. Thank you very much. I could have not done it. GSIS could not be in a position had you not cooperated. Salamat po sa inyong lahat. I really appreciate it,” PGM Aranas said.
He added that GSIS indeed works for the country, an indication that good governance happens in our country.
Through the years of hardworking, dedication and service to the community, they proudly serve their members as one and achieve greatness.
In the past two years, GSIS received four ISO certifications as GSIS understands and feels its members.
GSIS is truly an icon in social insurance by having the healthiest fund in Asia.
Aranas served as a bar setter in public service. He has considered each member and employee as somebody who contributes to the excellence of the institution.
GSIS is an institution that cares where the heart of excellence is in the GSIS right now. It genuinely serves as the guardian of the members' welfare. They are here to really improve their services by providing job security to its members, but each one needs to understand that GSIS must be commercially-run under his care.
Furthermore, GSIS started in May 31, 1937 by providing social security coverage to government employees with P250,000 (USD 4,629.62) initial fund.
Currently, GSIS has 55 extension branches strategically located nationwide.
