Man hurt in Gonzaga Street stabbing

A 38-YEAR-OLD man was injured after he was stabbed at Gonzaga Street, Barangay 12, Bacolod City on Sunday evening, June 2.

Police identified the victim as Lito Vergara, of Barangay 12.

Police Major Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said the victim was standing along Gonzaga Street when Darling Ali, 30, attacked him using an icepick.

The victim sustained multiple wounds and was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital while the suspect fled.

Police Station 2 is still conducting a follow-up operation to arrest the suspect. (MAP)
