P6.8-M shabu seized from 4 'high-value targets'

ANTI-narcotics operatives arrested four high-value targets and seized P6.8 million worth of illegal drugs from them in a drug bust conducted in District 5, Manila on Monday, June 3, 2019.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director Aaron Aquino identified the suspects as Talicop Saipoding Pumbaya, Mahdi Sodeit Salic, Maromaya Johary Mamocarao and Sultan Saipoden Alnao.

Aquino said the buy-bust operation took place around 5:30 p.m. in a hotel in Barangay 669, District 5, Manila.

Aquino said PDEA agents were able to buy from the suspects at least a kilogram of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) which were concealed in a transparent plastic bag marked as Guanyinwang Tea.

The suspects are detained at the PDEA detention facility in Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna while charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against them. (SunStar Philippines)
