Crimson resort sets slipper race on June 22

CRIMSON Resort and Spa in Mactan, Cebu is organizing people to walk in slippers for a cause, and make a monumental step in helping children and women.

In partnership with Project Happy Feet Singapore, Crimson is staging the eighth edition of the Slipper Race on June 22, 2019 to tackle one of the country’s social issues that needs immediate attention—education and training of children.

This year’s race will support the Philippine Accessible Disability Services Empowering Women and Children Program, a project that empowers abused women and children through adaptive sports and recreational rehabilitation.

A competitive activity, the race aims to establish camaraderie among participants. It will also support programs that need immediate attention and utmost support.

The race in slippers hopes to send a message to the world that there is a great urgency to take action to educate and train women, children and the members of society about the needs of the specially-abled individuals.

The competition is open to all persons who want to contribute to the cause and have fun at the same time.

A team of five members may donate P5,000 and join the race. Members have a freedom to choose their respective flip flops.

Registration is ongoing. Interested participants can send an email to mactan.gmsec@crimsonhotel.com and must write “Making Footprints of Change” as the email’s subject to register.

For more information on the event, one can visit Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan’s Facebook page or bit.ly/crimsonslipperrace.

The resort can also be reached through its landline: (032) 401-9999. It will give 100 percent of the registration fees to the beneficiary.
