ANG Department of Social Welfare and Development Field (DSWD) Office VII nihimo sa pag-update sa mga kasayoran sa indigent senior citizens sa rehiyon nga nalakip sa Social Pension program.
Ang DSWD 7 nagsugod sa updating niadtong Abril 2019 nga gipahigayon sa staff gikan sa nagkalainlaing programa ug mga serbisyo sama sa Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Kalahi-CIDSS, Sustainable Livelihood Program, ug uban pa.
“We are thankful to our staff especially those who were assigned in different cities and municipalities who accepted the call for this social pension updating. However, since we already hired staff for this updating, the newly hired validators will continue the home visitation and interview,” matod ni DSWD-7 Regional Director Rebecca P. Geamala.
Ang hired staff gipaabot nga mohimo og courtesy visit sa local chief executive ug barangay chairman sa dili pa mohimo sa pag-adto sa mga balay sa social pensioner.

“If the social pensioner cannot answer the questions anymore, there should be one eligible family member or guardian who can answer the questions from our staff,” matod ni Geamala.
Ang social pension program nagsugod sa 2011 ubos sa Republic Act 9994 o ang Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010 nga naghatag og Php 500 matag buwan nga ayuda sa indigent senior citizens nga ipuno sa iyang magasto sa batakang panginahanglan sa b uwan.
Sa pagkakaron, dunay 270,910 ka senior citizens kinsa benepisaryo sa maong programa. (PR)
