Mactan Island Golf Club holds 19th Island Tee tournament

A BRAND new car, a golf cart, cash and a motorcycle are put on line for an ace in the 19th Island Tee of the Mactan Island Golf Club in Lapu-Lapu City, which tees off on June 6, 2019.

Major General Andro Baclayon, chairman of the MIGC council and commander of the Air Mobility Command of the Philippine Air Force based inside the Mactan Benito Ebuen Air Base, will lead the hitting of ceremonial balls early morning on the first day of the event.

Baclayon will be joined by other officials including club general manager Retired Brig. Gen Werner Elpedes and representatives of the sponsors.

There will be designated holes for the hole-in-one prizes that are a Hyundai Reina sedan, a Yamaha golf cart, cash from the club’s par-3 special and a SkyGo motorcycle. The tournament, which is the club’s annual member-guest event is mainly backed by Mactan Isla Resort and Spa, Udenna Corporation, and Arturo Radaza. Also supporting the event are Plantation Bay Resort and Spa, Koppel, and J Park Island Resort and Water Park.

The tournament will be using the Modified Stableford Scoring System and will also have an individual event aside from the main two-man team competition.

The four-day, 36-hole competition, pairs a member of the club with a guest. Entry fee is pegged at P4,500 and all participants will get not only a chance to win the hole-in-one and the raffle prizes, but also a gift certificate worth P4,000.
