OCBO collection hits P57-M in 1st quarter

THE Office of the City Building Official (OCBO) in Davao City already collected a total of P57.9 million in fees for the first quarter of 2019.

OCBO head Cirinia Grace Catubig said they target to collect P140 million in fees for this year, a 12 percent increase from the target in 2018 of P125 million.

She said they are hopeful to reach the target just like the previous year when they surpassed the 2018 target, reaching P141 million in fees collected.

The data from OCBO extracted from the City Treasurer’s Office report showed that it is the Electrical Permit fees that contributed the major chunk of the collection with P12.16 million from January to March this year.

This was followed by Signage, Sign and Support fees, P10.48 million; and building permit fees at P9.46 million.

Other collection were on Mechanical fees reaching P6.55 million; Plumbing Permit fees, P4.25 million; Building Filling fee, P3.85; Electronic fees, P3.09 million; million; Accessories fees, P1.46 million; Occupancy Permit fees, P1.26 million; and other fees, P871,000. (LHC)
