Noceco employee shot dead

A 51-YEAR-OLD contractual employee of Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (Noceco) died after he was shot by an unidentified suspect in Sitio Bil-at, Barangay Caliling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental, June 3.

The victim was identified as Jimmy Gabiola. A Noceco employee and resident of Barangay Orong, Kabankalan City.

The suspect who fled after committing the crime was described as more or less 27 to 30 years old, 5’4 -5’5 in height, medium body built, wearing white sando-shirt and maong shorts.

Based on the initial investigation of the Cauayan Philippine National Police the victim was conducting a clearing operation with other employees of Noceco.

The unidentified suspect without any provocation arrived and fired his handgun to the victim’s head that resulted to the instant death of the victim.

The suspect reportedly fired again pointing his handgun upward. The suspect fled away after the incident. (TDE)
