Sungduan: Talubin outreach

AT LEAST 250 pupils from two public schools in Talubin, Bontoc, Mountain Province benefited from the first “Back to School” outreach project of a Hong Kong-based company which was executed through the help of two Cordilleran Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

Assisted by Igorota Vlogger Czarina Bawing who is an OFW in Hong Kong, representatives from Xpress Money Global Money Transfer headed by APAC-Hong Kong regional marketing manager Resa Lagdamin, marketing specialist in the Philippines Nancy Jimenez, with Lester Niel Jumarang from the AudioVisual Production in Dubai, recently traveled to Talubin for the outreach activity.

They personally handed bags with school supplies such as water bottle, notebooks, papers, crayons, pens and pencils to each of the beneficiaries in Dudu Elementary School and Ba-ay Elementary School.

The company learned about the two schools through the recommendation of Cordillera Women’s Club Hong Kong headed by Jaqueline Ngolob.

In return, the children showcased their talent by singing, dancing and plying instruments such as the ukulele, keyboard, and guitar as their way of expressing their deep gratitude to the sponsors.

Meanwhile, around 10 to 14 residents of Benguet and other municipalities in Cordillera who are suffering chronic diseases will benefit from the Concert and Ramp for a Cause held in Sai Ying Pun Complex, Hong Kong.

The event was organized OFWs Arianne Valentine and Fev Gaynat.

Through the efforts of OFWs and support of private companies more needy community will surely be given help.
