Man shot dead in Inayawan

A 50-YEAR-OLD man was gunned down by two unidentified men on Thursday afternoon, June 6, at Doña Rosa Village in Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City.

Authorities identified the victim as Julius Gomez, a resident of Sitio Malipayon in Barangay Inayawan.

Police Major Regino Maramag, Pardo Police Station chief, said that at 4:15 p.m., a barangay tanod called to informed them of the incident.

The tanod told Maramag that the victim was just standing in the area when the two suspects approached and shot him several times.

Authorities are yet to identify the suspects who fled after the incident.

Maramag said that some residents were able to see the faces of the suspects as they were not wearing any bonnets or masks.

“Posible na mag-cartographic sketch ta to identify the suspect,” he added.

Maramag said they are still conducting follow up investigation to determine a motive behind Gomez's murder. (WBS)
