Fisherman electrocuted in Bago

A MAN believed to be electrocuted by his own fishing gear was found dead in Barangay Taloc, Bago City on June 4.

The victim was identified as Jovanie Quinlat, 30 years old and a resident of the barangay.

Based on the report of the Bago City PNP, the victim left their house around 9 p.m., Monday, June 3, to conduct eel fishing using his improvised electric fishing device but he failed to return home.

The family said that they searched the place and found the victim’s lifeless body at the wash out canal of the irrigation between the rice field plantations lying on his belly while half of his body was submerged in the water and his improvised electronic fishing device was on his back.

The family of the victim believed that he was electrocuted by his own improvised electronic fishing device while fishing.

There was no other injury found on the body of the victim.

The victim’s cadaver was lying at Baxter Funeral Home subject for post mortem examination. (TDE)
