4 arrested in NegOcc drug busts

FOUR persons were arrested in drug busts in different areas in the province on June 4 relative to the campaign against illegal drugs.

Kenneth Gerona, 27 years old of Barangay Poblacion, Bago City was arrested June 4 around 5 p.m. at Purok Roadside, Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City.

The elements of Bago City PNP led by Lieutenant Colonel Eleuterio Ricardo, Jr. conducted the drug bust which resulted to the arrest of suspect.

Recovered from his possession and control were one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride), one piece improvised tooter with traces of suspected shabu, one piece green lighter, one piece stainless scissor, one pack empty transparent plastic sachet, and one pouch, cash amounting to P1,154 believed to be proceeds in selling of illegal drugs.

The confiscated items will be brought to PNP crime laboratory for drug examination. Estimated weight of shabu is 2 grams with estimated street value of P6,000.

Another drug suspect identified as Felix Talisay, 22, of Barangay Banago, Bacolod City was also arrested in a drug bust conducted by the Sipalay City PNP in Purok 4, Barangay 2, Sipalay City.

Recovered from his possession were one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu, P2,569 cash, including the P1,000 marked money.

The suspect was placed under the custodial facility of Sipalay CPs for proper disposition.

Mariano Martir, Jr. was arrested on June 4, around 7:30 p.m. at Dreyfus Street, Barangay Poblacion, Bago City.

Recovered from him were two heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one pouch, P200, cash amounting to P490 believed to be proceeds in selling of illegal drugs.

Also arrested on the same day was Danilo Vilanueva, 44, of Barangay RSB, La Carlota City.

Recovered from his possession and control were five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one unit Samsung Duos cellphone, P500 marked money and one unit Honda TMX 155 motorcycle color.

Based on police report, the suspect was on board his motorcycle at the time he was arrested.

The estimated weight of the recovered 5 sachets of suspected shabu is more or less 0.4272 gram with estimated value of P3,000. (TDE)
