NEGROS Occidental Governor-elect Eugenio Jose Lacson has named his transition team which will coordinate with the office of outgoing Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr.

Based on the document signed by Lacson and forwarded to the governor’s office, he named incoming Provincial Legal Officer lawyer Rayfrando Diaz as his chairperson.

His transition team consists of lawyers Jose Jonathan Ealdama, Kirk Andrew Magnabe, Julie Ann Bedrio, Pacifico Maghari III and Ismael Penado and Jonathan Lobaton.

Earlier, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Negros Occidental reminded both incoming and outgoing elected officials to form transition teams, which is a requirement before newly-elected officials can take office.

According to DILG-Negros Occidental director Engr. Carmelo Orbista, due to a pending request for a recount, officials in Isabela have yet to submit a report to their office.

Newly-elected officials are expected to assume office on June 30. (TDE)
