The Japanese automotive manufacturer’s flagship mid-size sedan has never looked better, inside and out. The eighth generation Camry is built with Toyota’s New Global Architecture which combines performance and aesthetic.
Designed with “Sensual-Smart Confidence,” the Camry is surrounded by sleek lines and smooth curves—a modern shape with a slightly futuristic vibe. With sharp LED headlamps and tail lights, Daytime Running Lights, dual exhaust pipes, clearance sonar and 18-inch alloy wheels—even at first glance, the Camry already commands attention.
The Camry is equipped with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder 2AR-FE Dual VVT-i engine and six-speed automatic transmission with Drive Mode Select where the driver can toggle between Sport and Eco modes. In higher speeds, the vehicle backs the driver up with features such as the Highly Responsive Upshift Control and Blipping Downshift Control both activated in Sport mode.
The style of the exterior is interpreted in the interiors as well: a gray chromatic motif with faux wood accents, plush seats sheathed in supple genuine leather and spacious legroom. Mounted on the dashboard is a seven-inch Multi-Information Display and Heads-Up Display Technology, so the driver can check vitals without having to take his eyes off the road.
Ensuring the comfort and convenience of passengers, front and back, there’s a three-zone automatic climate control, speed-sensing door locks, one-touch power windows and a push-start system with key-linked memory that enables the car to automatically adjust the driver’s seat and outside mirrors according to preference. The rear seats also have power recline and a Capacitive Touch Panel that controls the air-conditioning and sunshade.
With a five-star ASEAN NCAP rating, one can drive assured that he’s in good hands with the Camry. Safety features include seven strategically placed airbags, Electronic Parking Brake, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control and Anti-Lock Braking System.
The new Camry comes in a different set of colors per variant. For the 2.5 G: Platinum White Pearl Mica, Attitude Black Mica, Thermalyte, Graphite Metallic and Phantom Brown Metallic; and two additional colors for the 2.5 V: Red Mica and Burning Black Crystal Shine GF.
