PHOTOGRAPHY is not just a fad. It is a lifestyle which plummeted into the limelight as a tool for expression of fashion, travel and the arts. Joy Pauline Bangero uses photography as an outlet for her concepts, artistry and inner thoughts. Pioneering in the city’s fashion industry as a fashion photographer, she has taken great risks and faced every challenge with fireworks of her own.
Hailing from the family known for their Golden Table Restaurants, Ms. Bangero wanted to etch her name by herself outside the shadow of her loving family. A former soccer player (USLS Women’s Varsity Team), model and pageant girl, Ms. Joy Bangero rose into the scene with her Blackout Models in 2009. For two years, painstaking efforts were at work as she strove hard to forge her name in fire.
From then on, she has made a mark not just as a photographer, but as a stylist and concept developer as well. She had won numerous awards for her photography.
Furthermore, she was one of the stylists featured in the the 2013 Masskara Fashion Week. Ms. Bangero was hailed as one of the official photographers for Masskara Queen 2014, together with Dr. Ronnie Baldonado, Mr. Owen Bayog, Atty. Elnathan Lim, Mr. Shaun Villagracia, Mr. EJ Matti, Mr. Henry Pilla, Mr. Mark DeGuzman, Mr. Neil Cyril Sancho, Mr. Marcelo Solidad, Mr. Ms. Mercy Hugos, Ms. Sonia Katrib & Mr. Gary Liza. Ditto, she was also the stylist for the candidates’ major fashion shoot.
She also did numerous international fashion shoots with international models such as Sam Ali of Bahrain, Dennis Thiessen of Hamburg, Germany and Missah Christoph Sean of California, USA.
Due to persistent and popular demand, Joy Bangero did family portraiture for many blessed families such as the Nandwani Family, the Lopez-Villanueva Family, Ruiz-Vasquez Family & the Hofileña Family among others.
At present, she has her hands full in conducting workshops for Blackout Models in Bacolod City, LaCarlota City, Kabankalan City, Dumaguete City, Iloilo City, Aklan, Antique, and Cebu City. Together with her staff and crew, she travels to various places on a weekly basis.
