THREE teenagers died after a drowning along Agno River at Sitio Karil Calew, barangay Dalupirip in Itogon, Benguet on June 7.
Itogon Municipal Police Station disclosed all three victims were minors from Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino Province.
The three are students of Bless His Place Academy Incorporated.
Investigation showed the three victims with one male companion, also a minor, allegedly went to the river to fetch their companions who went to gather some pine woods, however, the three victims went straight to the river to swim leaving their male companion.
When the three were already swimming, one of them was drowning which prompted the two of his companions to rescue her but due to lack of knowledge in swimming, they all drowned.
Bodies of the victims were immediately recovered by the first responders at 10:27 a.m. and rushed to Itogon District Hospital in Kireng, Tinongdan, however, the three were declared dead on arrival by attending physician.
