9 drug personalities arrested in Bacolod

NINE drug personalities were arrested in separate drug busts conducted by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City on Saturday, June 8.

Police identified the suspects as Ariel Quiamco, 42, Ryant Lauina, 43, both residents of Barangay Villamonte; Joemar Launio, 40, Ramie Plaga, 40, John Rey Villaruel, 19, all residents of Talisay City; Andy Aliguin, 48, of Barangay Banago, Bacolod City; Raffy Montoya, 27, Marañon, 29, Fritz Belonio, 29, all residents of Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City.

Police Major Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Quiamco and Lauina were arrested by operatives of Police Station 4 at Purok Amor, Barangay Villamonte at about 1:45 a.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession seven sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P48,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Pico said Aliguin and his companions Lauino, Plaga and Villaruel were also arrested by operatives of Police Station 3 at Sitio Sibucao, Barangay Banago at about 6:30 a.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession 14 sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P500,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Montoya and his companions Marañon and Belonio were also arrested by operatives of Police Station 7 at Purok Kabugwason, Barangay Vista Alegre at about 5:15 p.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession 10 sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P5,000, the P100 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 3, 4, and 7 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
