Pushers, firearm holder arrested

TWO FEMALE drug pushers were arrested by the police during a buy bust operation, and another individual for illegal possession of firearms on June 5, this year.

Rowela Maso Delfin, 47, a resident of Barangay Balili, Km 3, La Trinidad, Benguet was captured at Camia Street, Purok 2, Sunnyside, Fairview, Baguio City by joint personnel of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), personnel of PRO-COR Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Baguio City Police Office Station 1, and personnel of Investigation Branch of Benguet Provincial Police Office (BPPO).

During the buy bust, authorities confiscated about five grams of shabu, buy bust money amounting P1,000 and P15,000 boodle money.

Another female drug trader identified as Marie Claro Dela Cruz, 41, and a resident of Pinsao Proper, Baguio City, landed in jail after she was caught at 2nd Kayang Street, Barangay Kayang-Hilltop, in the evening of the same day.

Confiscated from her possession is close to .3 grams of shabu, P500 buy bust money and P500 boodle money during the operation.

On the crackdown on illegal firearms, combined police personnel and drug enforcement agents arrested Walter Teneza Tugadi, 33, and a resident of Budac, Tayum, Abra by virtue of a search warrant.

Confiscated during the operation were one colt 1911 cal. 45, two magazine assembly of cal. 45 and 14 ammunition of cal. 45.

All arrested suspects are now under the custody of concerned operating units while appropriate charges were filed against them in court.

Police Brigadier General Israel Ephraim Dickson commended the efforts of the operating units saying that PRO-COR police will continue to penetrate areas in the region and will spare no one in the campaign against illegal drugs and illegal firearms.
