MALOLOS CITY-- The NLEX Corporation has invested another P400 million for additional lanes and expansion of the interchanges at the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).

According to NLEX Corporation Corporate Communications Head Kit Ventura, construction will begin in July to add tollgate booths at South Clark, Clark North, San Miguel, Tarlac and Tarlac City, as well as to expand the interchanges in these areas.

Included in the project, Ventura said, is the expansion of the toll plaza at South Clark and Clark North because of its proximity to the Clark International Airport, which continues to increase commercial flights.

Also up for expansion is the San Miguel interchange, known as Luisita, because it also serves as the main route of buses going into the Manila North Road or MacArthur Highway.

The Target of construction of the Bamban Interchange - which will serve as access to the New Clark City - is before November, in time for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. (PR)
