3,000 jobs offered at Kalayaan 2019 job fair

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO-- Thousands of employment opportunities await job seekers in Central Luzon as the Department of Labor and Employment will be holding the 121st Philippine Independence Day Job and Business Fair on June 12 Harbor Point Mall in Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Anchored on the theme “Kalayaan 2019: Tapang ng Bayan, Malasakit sa Mamamayan,” DOLE-Central Luzon Regional Director Zenaida Angara-Campita said various types of jobs in different industries will be up for grabs during the said jobs fair.

“We expect more than 73 employers to participate. Available jobs include production operator, call center agent, merchandiser, customer service, administrative staff, utility service crew, accounting staff, sales clerk, cashier and encoder,” Angara-Campita said.

She urged jobs seekers to prepare necessary application documents for the said jobs fair to expedite the application process and increase the opportunity of being hired on-the-spot.

“I urge all job seekers to be ready with the application requirements such as resume or curriculum vitae, diploma and/or transcript of records and authenticated birth certificate. Be ready with not just one but extra copies of your resume for multiple job applications,” Campita added.

The Philippine Independence Day Job and Business Fair is being done in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office of Olongapo, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Ayala Malls, Department of Public Works and Highways and Department of Trade and Industry.

Partner agencies such as the Social Security System, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation and Pag-ibig Fund will also be present in the event to provide pre-employment services.
