Gov eyes provincial hospital in Clark

CLARK FREEPORT ZONE-- Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, in a recent meeting with Clark locators, is eyeing the construction of a Provincial Hospital inside the Freeport.

“This is the start of the collaboration between Clark, the Provincial Government, and the Mabalacat City Local Government Unit,” she added.

She bared this in a recent meeting dubbed “Linking of CFZ Locators and Pampanga Public Employment Service Office” held at the conference room of the Royce Hotel and Casino.

According to the governor, health is one of the main problems of the workers in Pampanga.

Aside from the transportation expenses, it is hard for employees to attend to their health needs because of lack of finances, Pineda said.

The governor said workers tend to resign from their jobs because of this problem.

“I already talked with Mabalacat City Mayor Cris Garbo for this project. He can allot a budget for this from the P800 million income of the City from Clark,” she said.

Pineda also cited the efforts of Clark Development Corporation president Noel Manankil in donating a 2,000-square meter lot for the hospital.

“Job opportunities are already here. We just have to work hand-in-hand to help our fellow Kapampangans. If there are available jobs, Kapampangans must be the priority,” she furthered.

Meanwhile, the Governor recognized the contribution of Clark locators in the booming economy of Pampanga. She then thanked them for helping Pampanga to become one of the progressive provinces in the country.

“We need them [locators] for the betterment of the province,” she said.

Moreover, the governor said that in the hospital, just like other provincial hospitals, there would be an implementation of “no balance billing,” and the conduct of regular medical missions and provision of medicines without taxes. (PR)
