PNP willing to accept Trillanes evidence against Bikoy

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) is willing to accept the evidence presented by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV against Peter Joemel Advincula, the man claiming to be Bikoy in the series of videos that implicated Duterte family members in the illegal drugs trade.

So lahat ng karagdagang ebidensya ofcourse we welcome all this available evidence and resources to aid the ongoing investigation on the issue and the allegations of Mister Advincula,” he added.

Banac said the PNP expects Trillanes to coordinate with the police in submitting the evidence he has gathered. This will form part of the investigation being conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

In a press conference on Tuesday morning, Trillanes tried to clear his name by presenting screenshots of text messages allegedly between Advincula and a priest and a video of Advincula which may debunk his claims of an ouster plot against Duterte.

Advincula had tagged Trillanes as the mastermind of the alleged ouster plot against Duterte.

In one of the text messages, Advincula allegedly encouraged the priest to help him surface and reveal the illegal activities of the administration.

Advincula earlier claimed he is Bikoy, the hooded man in the series of videos “Ang Totoong Narco-list” which implicates Duterte’s son Paolo, the husband of Duterte’s daughter Sara Manases Carpio, senator-elect Cristopher Lawrence Go and Duterte’s partner Honeylet Avanceña in illegal drugs operations.

On May 6, Advincula surfaced and sought legal assistance from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) because he wanted to file charges against the people he tagged in the said series of videos.

However, on May 23, Advincula recanted all his previous statements and tagged Trillanes and the Liberal party as behind the series of videos which allegedly aim to discredit the administration and unseat Duterte.

Advincula issued an affidavit where he tagged Trillanes, the Liberal party and several religious leaders in the said destabilization plot.

He is currently under the protective custody of the PNP while investigation is ongoing. (SunStar Philippines)
