A 45-year-old man who was charged for domestic violence was arrested by operatives of Police Station 1 on San Juan Street, Barangay 12, Bacolod City on Monday, June 10, 2019.
Police identified the suspect as Robert Sumalangcay, of Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay 12.
Police Major Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 1, said Tuesday that the suspect has an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004.
The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Walter Zorilla of Regional Trial Court Branch 51 in Bacolod City.
Sedel said the suspect is detained at their custodial facility for failure to post bail of P36,000 for his temporary liberty.
