Bacolor cops top in anti-drugs ops for 11 consecutive weeks

BACOLOR, Pampanga -- The Bacolor Police Station was recognized anew by the Pampanga Police Provincial Office as the top performing Class B municipal police station in anti-illegal operations.

The station was recognized for 11 consecutive weeks for its successful implementation of anti-illegal drug operations which led to the neutralization and arrest of several drug personalities and seizure of sachets of illegal drugs.

This town’s chief of police Major Louie Gonzaga said that as of June 4, his team was able to implement a total of 40 drug busts.

The said operations led to the arrest of 47 target-listed drug personalities, while two suspects were killed on the spot after allegedly trying to resist arrest and engaging in armed encounter with implementing officers, Gonzaga added.

Gonzaga warned anew personalities engaged in illegal drug use and trade to relinquish their dangerous and illegal vices or face the rule of law as they will not stop going after the suspected individuals.

“The Bacolor police and the Philippine National Police shall be relentless in our campaign against personalities involved in this illicit trade and use of prohibited drugs in line with our goal to make our community free from its ill effects,” he said.
