P309,000 in shabu seized in Bacolod

AN ESTIMATED P309,000 worth of “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in separate drug busts of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City Wednesday, June 12.

The operations also led to the arrest of Marco Garcia, 27, of Barangay 30; Revo Aliguin, 34, of Barangay Banago; and Joey Aliboga, 36, of Barangay Banago.

Police Major Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said that Garcia was arrested by operatives of Police Station 6 at Sta. Ana, Barangay 30 at 1:19 a.m.

Police recovered from Garcia’s possession five sachets of shabu with an estimated market value of P9,000, one motorcycle, and the P200 marked money.

Aliguin and Aliboga were also arrested in a separate operations of Police Station 3 in Barangays Banago and Mandalagan.

Police recovered from Aliguin’s possession nine sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P150,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Aliboga yielded five sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P150,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia, the police said.

The suspects are detained the custodial facilities of Police Stations 3 and 6 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
