PAF hosts annual anniversary exhibit at SM Clark

THE Philippine Air Force (PAF) held an anniversary exhibit in time for the celebration of Independence Day at SM City Clark.

The PAF exhibit is also in celebration of the 1st Air Division’s 71st anniversary.

The photo exhibit includes a short history presentation of PAF in the Philippines and inside Clark Freeport, as well as photos taken from the activities of PAF doing rescue and training here. The exhibit also seeks to showcase the state-of the-art facilities, services and equipment of the service branch.

Actual planes used by the PAF are on display at the mall’s event center.

SM City Clark public relations officer Venus Manalang said they hope to help PAF in promoting its initiatives to the mall goers. The exhibit, she said, also aims to promote PAF and entice more membership into the force.

“This exhibit also draws attention to the many initiatives of the PAF in terms of its services to its immediate communities. The PAF here is a constant partner of the mall in many of its social service and corporate social responsibility programs,” Manalang said.

During such events, the PAF usually exhibits aircraft like AS-211 jet, SF-260 trainer aircraft, UH-1H helicopter, flight simulator and FA-50 mini-aircraft replica.

Also displayed in previous PAF events were the special operations equipment (armaments and EOD equipment) with personnel from Special Operations Wing and search and rescue equipment with the personnel from 505th Search and Rescue Group.
