MALACAÑANG has declared June 15 as a special non-working holiday in Angeles City to commemorate the 28th anniversary of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption.
Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, through the authority given by President Rodrigo Duterte, signed Proclamation No. 735 in remembrance of the ruinous volcanic eruption in June 15, 1991.
“To render appropriate tribute to those who perished, as well as to those who survived, and to those who helped in the relocation, rehabilitation and recovery of families affected by the volcanic eruption, the City of Angeles, Province of Pampanga requested that June 15, 2019 be declared special non-working holiday in remembrance of the ruinous volcanic eruption of Mt. Pinatubo,” the proclamation states.
