NakakaLOKAL with Ogie and Davey Langit

DABAWENYOS really had a great time last June 8, as OPM artist Ogie Alcasid serenaded them with some of his all-time favorite hits.

The 51-year-old balladeer was in Davao last weekend to promote his latest album NakakaLOKAL at the Activity Center of Abreeza of Ayala Malls.

Ogie shares that his new album is a first-of-its kind musical collaboration with the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under Star Music.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, the singer added that the album is his tribute to the OPM and his way of saying thank you to all who supported his music career for three decades.

During the mini-concert, the singer belted out his song Nakakalokal which is the theme song of the recent Himig Handog Songwriting Competition of Kapamilya network.

He also sung “Do You Wanna Dance With Me and “Kailangan Kita” to the delight of the crowd.

Joining Ogie on the stage was the singer-songwriter Davey Langit.

Davey was discovered during the first season of ABS-CBN’s “Pinoy Dream Academy” reality show in 2006.

He is the artist behind the hit songs Idjay, Wedding Song, Selfie Song and a lot more.

He is also the one behind Yeng Constantino’s hit song “Cool Off and Time In.”

Prior to their Davao gig, the duo visited Cagayan de Oro City and performed at Ayala Centrio Mall last June 1.

After the show, some fans got a chance for a meet-and-greet and photo-op session with the singer.

That one hour of mini-concert was indeed an afternoon of great songs and music.

Cheers to OPM!
