122 newly-hired and promoted Capitol employees take oath

A TOTAL of 122 newly-hired and promoted employees of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental took their oath of office before Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr. and attended the job orientation seminar at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City, Thursday.

The employees are from the different Capitol offices and departments, and from the provincial government-run hospitals, namely, Provincial Accounting Office, Special Programs and Concerns Division, Technology and Livelihood Development Center, Assessor’s Office, General Services Office, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital, Merceditas Montilla District Hospital, Velriano Gatuslao Memorial Hospital, Provincial Human Resource and Management Office, Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital, Cadiz District Hospital, Calatrava District Hospital, Hospital Operations Department, Provincial Engineer’s Office, Negros Occ. Tourism Division, Provincial Legal Office, Provincial Health Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Treasurer’s Office, and Provincial Veterinary Office.

The employees were oriented of their rights and privileges as well as the limitations and sanctions that govern public servants.

Gov. Marañon also said that being a Capitol employee is a great privilege and a responsibility.

He encouraged them to continue to support the provincial government programs and projects and to cooperate with the administration of governor-elect Eugenio Jose Lacson by doing their best at work.

Vice Gov. Lacson congratulated the employees especially those who got promoted; he said that more is expected from them following the increase of their salaries after promotion.

He urged them to continue to do well for the advancement of themselves and for more improvement of the government service.

Present in the activity were Board Member Salvador Escalante, Jr. and the heads of the concerned departments and offices, and chiefs of hospitals. (PR)
