A PEDESTRIAN died after she was hit by a motorcycle at Araneta Street, Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City on Wednesday afternoon, June 12.
Police identified the fatality as Lonie Soledad, 54, of Barangay Mansilingan.
Police Captain Jun Ray Batadlan, chief of Police Station 9, said yesterday the victim was crossing along Araneta Street when she was hit by a motorcycle driven by Remegio Mendoza at 1:35 p.m.
The victim was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, but she did not survive.
Batadlan said Mendoza also voluntarily surrendered and he will be released after the lapse of his reglementary period at 6 p.m.
He said there was already a settlement between Mendoza and the family of the victim. (MAP)
