Sofaline sets up shop at The Furniture City

A NEW player in the furniture retailing business, Sofaline Interior Furnishing has set up its own exhibit area at The Furniture City, attracting a number of the showroom’s visiting guests with more affordable price ranges.

Manager Lino Gelera explained that the company is aiming to meet the needs of the Filipino homeowner, whom he described as metropolitan yet practical, with more acquired tastes yet still conscious of value.

Sofaline, an importer and distributor of home and office furniture and décor that was formed in November 2016, has first dealt with a single retailer in Cebu. But after gaining a stronger foothold in the industry, the company is concentrating on a new venture by expanding its market within the Visayas and Mindanao through concession operation.

Gelera stressed that The Furniture City, which is the biggest furniture showroom in Cebu, was one of their priorities for potential sites for concession operation.

“We believe that our products are best suited there. We have lower prices, good design, and we can attract more customers and generate more sales,” he said.

Sofaline occupies two booths at The Furniture City, a 30-square-meter space on the ground floor and a 40-square-meter space at the second. Although it is currently renovating its own store in Mandaue City, Gelera prefers to continue Sofaline’s presence in the showroom to take advantage of its strategic location.

The Furniture City is located on Hernan Cortes St. in Mandaue City, Cebu, which is fast becoming a construction and interiors hub, with several stores related to the industry, including Mandaue Foam, dotted along the stretch.

Within the showroom itself are more than 20 companies offering a varied range of design and budget choices for shoppers. (PR)
