6th most wanted person in NegOcc arrested

A suspect of two counts of rape who is considered as sixth most wanted person in the province was arrested June 15, 2019 at Dr. A. Santos Ave., Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.

The suspect was identified as Jomar Tabaosuares, 31 years old, single and resident of Brgy. MH Del Pilar, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.

The arrest was made by the personnel of Pontevedra PNP led by Police Chief Capt. Rhojn Darell Nigos by virtue of warrant of arrest issued and signed by Judge Francisco Rodriguez of RTC Branch 63, La Carlota City on November 27, 2009 with no bail recommended.

The Suspect was temporarily held at Parañaque City Police Station and will be transmitted to Pontevedra PNP for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, a 26 year-old suspect for illegal possession of firearms was turned over to the Kabankalan Police Station after he attempted to shoot the arresting officers on June 16 at Purok 1, Barangay Magballo, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

The suspect was identified as Cyril Castro, a resident of Barangay Canlamay, Ilog.

Based on police report, elements of Bravo Company of the 15IB, Philippine Army, together with barangay officials of Barangay Magballo endorsed to Kabankalan CPS the suspect for illegal possession of firearm and attempting to shoot the arresting officers who responded to the area after reports from the residents that the suspect was firing indiscriminately.

Initial investigation disclosed that upon arrival of the members of the Philippine Army, the suspect attempted to shoot, prompting the army to shoot the suspect and hit him at his left thigh. The suspect was brought to Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital for medical treatment.

Recovered from the suspect was one caliber .22 revolver loaded with three live ammunition and three fired cartridges.
