3 nabbed in Angeles anti-drug operation

ANGELES CITY -- Three individuals were arrested in an anti-drug operation conducted by the city police recently.

The suspects were identified as Reynaldo Torres, 45; Maria Precious Fabillar, 39; and Marissa Lopez, 50, all of Barangay Pampang here.

Police Captain Elaine Villasis, information officer of the city police, said the suspects were charged with drug possession and selling.

The three were arrested in a drug bust conducted by joint elements of Police Station 2, intelligence branch, Women and Child Protection Service and Drug Enforcement Unit, said Villasis.

The suspects allegedly conspired in selling shabu to a police agent.

Police confiscated four sachets of drugs, P500 marked money, and other pieces of evidence from the three, Villasis said.

In compliance with Section 21 of Republic Act 9165, marking and inventory of seized pieces of evidence were done in the presence of barangay officials, media men, and Department of Justice representatives.

Confiscated items were taken to the Angeles City Crime Laboratory for examinations, Villasis said.
