Couple nabbed for gun, drugs

AUTHORITIES in the City of San Fernando recently arrested a couple for possession of illegal drugs and an unlicensed firearm during a drug bust launched in Barangay Telabastagan.

City Chief of Police Levi Hope Basilio identified the suspects as Jerome Sereño and girlfriend Angeline Due, who are both target-listed drug personalities.

Basilio said the suspects were armed with a caliber .45 pistol without proper documentation.

They were on board a black Sedan but surrendered calmly to the arresting officers during the operation.

Police seized from the couple eight sachets of substance believed to e shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), P500 marked money and the unlicensed firearm.

The suspects are currently detained at the San Fernando Police Station custodial facility, as they face charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or Illegal Possession of Firearms, and Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
