Capitol gives over P10M worth of projects to 5th district LGUs

GOVERNOR Alfredo Marañon, Jr. turned over checks worth a total of P10.65 million to the different barangays of the Negros Occidental Fifth District to fund their respective projects.

Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan received P300,000 for the acquisition of a multi-purpose vehicle; barangays Su-ay and Aguisan of Himamaylan City received P2 million and P1.5 million, respectively, for the construction of a farm-to-market road and purchase of a new vehicle. Barangay Cansalongon, Isabela received P300,000 for the agricultural input and farm equipment; Barangay Lalagsan, La Castellana received P500,000 for the road concreting project; and Barangay Guinpana-an, Moises Padilla received P50,000 for the installation of a barangay landmark.

Ten barangays of the Municipality of Hinigaran also received projects, namely, Brgy II – P1 million for the improvement of a mini fish wharf. Barangay III Poblacion – P399,623.25 for the construction of box culverts, Brgy. IV – Poblacion – P1M for the construction of multi-purpose hall, Brgy. Anahaw – P450,000 for the bridge improvement, Brgy. Bato – P250,000 for the roofing extension of covered court, Brgy. Calapi – P200,000 for the perimeter fencing, Brgy. Nanunga – P1M concreting of barangay road, Brgy. Palayog – P400,000 for the construction of perimeter fence, Brgy. Quiwi – P300,000 for the covered court flooring, and Brgy. Tuguis – P1M for the road concreting project.

Meanwhile, Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City also received P300,000 for the rehabilitation of drainage system.

The turn over ceremony was held at the Provincial Capitol, Thursday, and checks were personally received by the authorized barangay officials and representatives. (PR)
