A BUY-BUST operation conducted in Sitio Magay, Barangay Tangke, Talisay City, Cebu on Thursday afternoon, June 20, 2019, resulted in the death of one suspected drug pusher.
Ramil Amagos, 30, who was the subject of the buy-bust, was killed after he exchanged fire with operatives of the Talisay City Police and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) Central Visayas.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Marlu Conag, chief of the Talisay City Police Station, while the transaction was already taking place, Amagos was able to perceive that he was transacting with a police operative.
"After the consummation of the transaction, the suspect sensed that he was transacting with the police. He suddenly drew his firearm and aimed to shoot at the police officer. This prompted the police officer to shoot him which resulted to his death," Conag said.
Recovered from Amagos were 2.5 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with an estimated worth of P17,000, two fired cartridge cases, one deformed fired bullet, and a .38 calibre revolver. (SunStar Cebu)
