THE success of the inaugural race prompted the organizer of the Mega Wear Half Marathon to organize a second edition on July 7, 2019 at the SM City Cebu still for the benefit of the Cancer Warriors Foundation.
“We were able to give P50,000 to the foundation last year, and we’re glad to help them on our own little way. They used the funds to buy medicines,” said Mega Wear owner Excel Canque on Friday’s press conference.
The run this year will feature the 21-kilometer, 12K, 6K and 3K categories All categories are open to all runners and running enthusiasts.
“Hopefully we can generate the same funds or get more for the foundation this year,” he said.
Mega Wear, a sewing and printing company that caters usually to singlets for fun runs, is doing the event to give back to Cebu’s running community. (RSC)
