30 police units get citation

THIRTY units of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Cordillera received the Proficiency Seal and Eagle Awards for successfully passing the third stage of the Philippine National Police's (PNP) transformations plan, the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030.

Police Brigadier General Israel Ephraim Dickson, PRO-Cordillera director, said the proficiency measure is a continuing process in evaluating units under the Performance Governance System (PGS) to determine where PRO-Cordillera is in its transformation program.

"We conducted an awardee for conferral to those deserving units in the provinces, particularly the proficiency stage for Mountain Province, Baguio City and Apayao, while the same awards were given to Kalinga, Benguet, and Ifugao last week with Abra reviving their award on June 24 of this year," Dickson said.

For Baguio City, Stations 1, 3, 6 and 8 bagged the Gold Eagle Award, while the Silver awardees are the City Mobile Force Company, Stations 2, 4, 5, 7, 9 and 10.

Among other awardees, BCPO Station 1 had the highest rating among all units region-wide, with an overall rating of 98.24 percent in the Proficiency Evaluation Process.

The Apayao Province Police Office (Appo) received the Silver Eagle Award for the Municipal Police Stations (MPS) of Calanasan, Flora, Luna and Pudtol, while Apayao Provincial Mobile Force Company, Conner, Kabugao with the Santa Marcela MPS receiving Certificates of Appreciation.

The Mountain Province PPO received the Silver Eagle Awards for all municipal police stations, namely, Barlig, Bauko, Besao, Bontoc, Natonin, Paracelis, Sabangan, Sadanga, Sagada, Tadian and the Provincial Mobile Force Company.

The certificate of appreciation was presented to the Regional Advisory Council Members in recognition of their significant services to PRO-Cordillera as panel members during the conduct of PGS Proficiency Evaluation Process of the lower units of PRO-Cordillera.

The Regional Advisory Council is spearheaded by SunStar Baguio publisher Reinaldo Bautista Jr. as chairman and Engr. Eduardo Meneses as vice-chairman. The members included the National Police Commission Cordillera Director Editha Puddoc, Juan Dicang, Oscar Cadelina, and Fr. Manuel Flores.

Philippine Military Academy Academics Group head Brigadier General Cheston Valencerina, together with Dickson, led the awarding ceremonies Monday, June 17, in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.
