Whirlpool expands

WHIRLPOOL Philippines continues to expand its customer reach in Visayas and Mindanao this year, as it continues to improve its products.

Excellence Appliance Technologies (Exatech) President and chief executive officer (CEO) Nixon Sioco said on Tuesday during its product launching at the Marco Polo Hotel that sales have been improving for the past three years since Whirlpool opened its showroom in 2016 in Quimpo Boulevard, Matina, Davao City.

Sioco said their opening coincided with President Rodrigo Duterte's assumption in position, which he also credited for the brand's sales improvement.

He admitted the tight competition in the market today, considering foreign brands owned by Koreans, Japanese and Chinese dominating the market today. But he revealed they were able to surpass them with their innovative products not only aiming for affordability but also electricity-friendly appliances as well.

Exatech, the official distributor of Whirlpool, officially unveiled its new set of products: MWP Vancouver microwave oven, Bloomwash Inverter Plus washing machine, and the Quattro French Door Refrigerator.

Exatech and Whirpool have been in partnership for the past 27 years, making Exatech the fastest growing local appliance retailer and an international brand distributor since 1992.

Sioco hopes to strive more in making Whirlpool a Filipino household name for high quality appliances.

"We are excited for Whirlpool to strengthen its presence to more parts of the Philippines, and with these new models, we are really confident in maintaining long-lasting relationships with our loyal customers while also building new ones," he said.
